Who are we? We are your fellow Catholic men from:
- Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish
- Church of the Resurrection Parish, Monroeville
The Knights of Columbus are Catholic men who try to make a difference in this world by being Men of God. We serve Him by serving humanity through service to His Church. We are part of the largest Catholic men’s fraternal organization on earth – 1.8 million strong.
What the Knights do:
- We support the Pro-Life cause in all its stages, from conception to natural death.
- We support Religious Vocations by providing a monthly stipend to local seminarians to assist them with expenses.
- We collect thousands of dollars each year for the K of C Bishop’s Project which is used to help children or adults with mental, physical, or developmental challenges in the St. Anthony School Program and at the McGuire Memorial Home. You’ll see us at shopping centers passing out Tootsie Rolls for donations, at Masses collecting after Masses at our annual “Dollar Drive” and selling Christmas seals to raise funds for this charity.
- At Christmas time each year we purchase and deliver baskets of food to needy families in our parish and surrounding community.
- We coordinate collection of knit socks, gloves and hats for the homeless.
- We provide free educational and religious booklets on the Faith that are available to you in the vestibule of our churches. We purchase over 1000 of these each year.
- We provide stimulus funds to help local churches with costly projects and assistance with needed repairs or facility improvements.
- We provide support to individuals in need and to other church organizations to support their work.
We meet at 7:00pm on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month in Biedenbach Hall at Christ the Divine Shepherd -- Monroeville.
